Ontario International Airport will soon begin providing daily flights to Seattle.
Starting Oct. 1, Delta Airlines will offer two roundtrip flights a day between Ontario International and the Pacific Northwest city, according to a statement posted on the airport’s website.
“The new service is the latest in a series of welcomed airline announcements of new and restored air service at ONT in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic,” the statement reads.
Delta will use 76-seat Embraer 175 jet aircraft operated by SkyWest on the Ontario-Seattle route. Each plane will have 12 first class, 20 comfort class, and 44 main cabin seats.
Tickets are available at delta.com.
“This new service by Delta continues to build momentum for Ontario International’s recovery of passenger airline service as we climb out of the traffic downtown caused by the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Mark Thorpe, chief executive officer, in the statement. “We believe we will continue to see airlines turn to Ontario International as they seek to rebuild their flight schedules.”
