The Christmas on Euclid Experience, an Ontario tradition since 1922, is less than one month away, with some major events planned starting the first weekend in December.
This year’s festival is scheduled to begin Dec. 4 with a tree-lighting ceremony and the screening of a yet-to-be announced holiday movie, according to a release by the Greater Ontario Convention & Visitors Bureau, which puts on the event.
The next day, the first Saturday of the month, will begin with “Breakfast with the Clauses” at the Ontario Senior Center, followed by a holiday market and craft fair on Euclid Avenue, along with ice skating, live shows, a Christmas tree farm and a visit by Santa Claus.
Performances by several local high school bands, dancers and a choir will conclude the day’s festivities.
Twelve nativity scenes created by local artist Rudolph Vargas will be placed along the Euclid Avenue median. The nativity scenes, a major part of the annual holiday festival, have been supported by local businesses, civic groups and community organizations since 1958.
The Christmas on Euclid Experience attracts thousands of visitors every year. For more information visit ChristmasOnEuclid.com.
