Ontario to host State of the City

Ontario will hold its 2023 State of the City March 22 at the Ontario Convention Center.

Hundreds of business and community leaders are expected to attend the event, which will focus on the city’s business investments and economic development projects, both present and future, according to a statement on the city’s website.

Festivities are scheduled to start at 5 p.m. with registration and networking.  The program will begin at 6 p.m. with a networking forum immediately after.

“We are excited to talk about the things that are happening in Ontario. as well as our plans for the future,” said Mayor Paul S. Leon in the statement.  “As the region’s economic hub, and home to nearly 180,000 people, we have become a model for what a 21st century city can offer its residents and businesses,”

Ontario is the one of the Inland Empire’s fastest-growing cities. During the next 25 years, its population is expected to grow by nearly 100,000, according to the Southern California Association of Governments.
