Organic food store to open in Corona

A family-owned organic and natural food store is scheduled to open Saturday in Corona.

Organic Roots, which operates a store in Temecula, will begin operating at McKinley Crossroads, according to a statement.

Anchored by a 24-Hour Fitness and an Office Furniture Outlet, McKinley Crossroads is located at 275 Teller St.

The shopping mall is owned by ShopOne Centers, a real estate investment trust in New York, which made an extra effort to get Organic Roots to locate in Corona sooner than first planned.

“We are pleased to work closely with Organic Roots to quickly get this store ready to serve the public with healthy, all-natural food products during this very challenging period,” said Bob Dake, ShopOne’s chief operating officer, in the statement.

Organic Roots will be open from 9 AM – 7 PM seven days a week for the general public, and will open at 8 a.m. for seniors. It will provide curbside pickup for the duration of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The store expects to serve nearly 110,000 residents within a three-mile radius of McKinley Crossroads, according to the statement.
