The flights will operate Mondays and Thursdays on 189-seat Boeing 737-800 aircraft.

“We are thrilled to begin service to Palm Springs International Airport with the announcement of our new non-stop service to Edmonton,” said Charles Duncan, president of Swoop. “With more than three million travelers having already experienced Swoop’s service and low fares, we are confident this new route will be a success.”

One Swoop is up and running, Palm Springs International will have nonstop service to 36 airports from 13 airlines in the season as well as year-round service to 15 airports. Swoop airlines will be Palm Springs International’s fourth Canadian airline and third ultra-low-cost carrier.
