Palm Springs Airport allows non-travelers past security checkpoints

Palm Springs International Airport is letting people roam virtually anywhere in that facility without having to buy an airline ticket, just like the old days.

The recently launched Stay & Play Visitor Pass Program gives non-travelers access beyond the security checkpoint so they can reunite with – or say goodbye to – friends and family at the gate, according to a statement on the city’s website.

Stay & Play participants can also watch planes arrive and depart from one of the airport’s outdoor patios, or visit one of its shops.

Interested parties may obtain a free Stay & Play pass by visiting flyPSP.com/StayAndPlay, according to the statement.
