Palm Springs to hold “virtual town hall”

Palm Springs businesses affected by the COVID-19 pandemic are encouraged to participate in a virtual town hall Tuesday.

The online event, scheduled to begin at 11 a.m., is being hosted by the Palm Springs Chamber of Commerce and the Inland Empire Small Business Development Center, according to a statement on the city’s website.

The session will cover businesses survival and recovery, business loss insurance and information about how restaurants can participate in Riverside County new senior meal program.

“Our goal is to continue to provide helpful resources and information that can make a tangible difference to businesses struggling during these unprecedented times,” chamber Chief Executive Officer Nona Watson said in the statement. “We encourage anyone who needs assistance to register and get informed.”

Registration is available at www.pschamber.org or by visiting the front page of www.palmspringsca.gov  and clicking “In The Spotlight.”
