PassEDA, a public-private partnership committed to bringing jobs and job training to the Pass Area, will hold a transportation summit later this month.
The event is scheduled for 11 a.m. Oct. 16 at the Beaumont Unified School District offices, 350 W. Brookside Ave., Beaumont, according to a statement.
The one-day session is a “lunch and learn” event. Guests will hear about transportation projects that will affect the San Gorgonio Pass region from Yucaipa to Whitewater.
Speakers will be Anne Mayer, executive director of the Riverside County Transportation Commission, and Gabriela G. Collins, a senior policy advisor with Southern California Edison.
“Communities in the Pass are growing rapidly,” said Roger Schultz, superintendent and president of Mt. San Jacinto College and president of the PassEDA [Economic Development Agency] board, in the statement.
“It is imperative that residents of this region have resources where they can learn about opportunities and challenges and be prepared for the future.”
Cost to attend is $25. To register, or to become a PassEDA member, visit www.passeda.net or call (951) 312-7501.
