PS to consider changes to mayor’s office

Palm Springs will hold a series of public meetings regarding the future of its mayoral office.

The seven sessions will begin later this month and last into the fall, according to a statement on the city’s website.

“These meetings are designed to provide an opportunity for residents to learn more, ask questions, and share their perspectives as the city considers potential changes to its governance structure.”

Palm Springs is a charter city with four council members elected by district and a mayor that is elected at-large. Its city manager, a hired position, implements policy and oversees day-to-day operations.

All meetings are scheduled to be held from 6-8 p.m. Dates and times are:
