Palm Springs will hold a special meeting Saturday to discuss the future of the historic Plaza Theatre.
The community forum is scheduled to be held at 10:30 a.m. at the theater, 128 S. Palm Canyon Drive, according to a statement.
The session will give Palm Springs residents and other interested parties a chance to inspect the facility and express their views on the city’s proposed restoration plan, according to a statement.
Mayor Robert Moon and Councilmember J.R.Roberts, who make up the council’s Plaza Theatre Restoration Subcommittee, will chair the meeting. The venue opened in 1936 and closed five years ago.
