American Airlines will begin nonstop flights from Palm Springs International Airport to Charlotte, N.C. later this year.
The seasonal flights will begin Dec. 20 and will run every Saturday through April 18, according to a statement on Palm Springs International’s website.
The flights will be on American’s 172-seat Boeing 737-800 aircraft. The first flight will depart Charlotte Douglas International at 9:25 a.m. and arrive at Palm Springs International at 11:25 a.m. The return flight will leave Palm Springs International at 12:15 p.m. and land at Charlotte Douglas at 7:45 p.m.

“This connection builds on our momentum, adding even more nonstop access between the Coachella Valley and the East Coast,” said Harry Barrett, Jr., executive director of aviation at Palm Springs International, in the statement. “Every new route creates more opportunities for our community, our visitors, and our economy.”
