Craig Putnam has retired as an exhibit fabricator with the San Bernardino County Museum.
During his nearly 25 years on the job, Putnam used his woodworking, fabrication, painting and design skills to create many of the museum’s immersive and educational displays, according to a statement on the county’s website.
A retirement dinner honoring Putnam was held March 17.
“Craig is an exhibit genius,” said David Myers, the museum’s director, in the statement. “He is a true craftsman (who has) has inspired so many people. His skill, passion, and creativity have shaped many of our exhibits.
In addition to his museum work, Putnam helped redesign the Colton Area Museum, revamping all the of it division halls, according to the statement.
