QVC Opens Inland Empire Logistics Facility

QVC, the international video and e-commerce retailer, on Monday opened its Ontario distribution center with a ribbon-cutting and grand opening ceremony.

The one-million-square-foot facility, QVC’s first distribution operation on the west coast, is expected to create 1,000 jobs by 2020, according to a company statement.

The distribution center, which was announced 13 months ago, is expected to make approximately 20 percent of QVC’s U.S. shipments. It will store and ship all product categories, including fashion and beauty products as well as larger items, including television sets, housewares and computers, according to the statement.

“Our new Ontario distribution center allows us to continue to enrich our customer experience,” said James Reid, QVC’s vice president of customer logistics in the United States, in the statement. “We are excited to welcome the Ontario team to the QVC family.”

The facility is at 1901-3999 Inland Empire Blvd.

Since 1986, QVC has shipped more than 1.8 billion packages in the United States, according to the statement.
