Riverside City College graduated more than 3,700 students this month, awarding more than 4,000 associate degrees and 1,200 certificates, pending final grades.
Four graduation ceremonies were held, during which 109 veterans, 32 students from the Rising Scholars and prison education programs, and 12 from the Guardian Scholars program were honored, according to a statement on the school’s website.
Guardian Scholars supports current and former foster youth.
Nearly 500 students graduated with Great Distinction (a grade point average of 3.7 or higher), while more 950 earned Distinction honors (a GPA between 3.3 and 3.69), according to the statement.
