Irving Hendrick has been named interim president of Riverside City College.
Hendrick, a Riverside resident and longtime leader in higher education, follows Wolde-Ab Isaac, according to multiple reports.
Wolde-Ab Isaac was recently named chancellor of the Riverside Community College District, which operates campuses in Norco, Riverside and Moreno Valley.
Hendrick has been a professor, dean of the School of Education and interim assistant vice chancellor for development at UC Riverside. He helped oversee expansion of the School of Education.
Riverside City College serves approximately 22,000 students. Officials plan to conduct a national search for a permanent president, according to the reports.
