The University of Redlands has been named one of the top universities in the western United States by U.S. News & World Report.
The liberal arts school moved up from 16 last year to five in the magazine’s 2021 Best College Rankings, which were released recently.
Redlands was also ranked the third-best western university for veterans and 47 for social mobility.
UC Riverside ranked first in the country for social mobility.
This is the 36th year the news magazine has published its rankings of the best colleges and universities. Its latest edition assesses 1,452 U.S. bachelor’s degree- institutions on 17 measures of academic quality, according to a statement.
