A retail-office project that will cover nearly 170,000 square feet will be developed in Chino.
Town Center at the Preserve will be built within The Preserve at Chino, a master-planned community at Pine Avenue and Main Street, according to Lewis Retail Centers in Upland.
Lewis Retail is the developer of both projects. Town Center at the Preserve is scheduled to open in the summer of 2023.
The retail part of the project will be anchored by a Stater Bros. supermarket. It will be the San Bernardino-based company’s third store in Chino and will employ about 150 people.
Kenwood’s Kitchen and Tap, a family-owned and operated restaurant and bar, will open at Town Center in the fall of 2023. Chipotle Mexican Grill and 7 Miles Tea Lab have also agreed to locate there.
About 6,200 housing units are either being developed or planned for the immediate area around Town Center, making the project an ideal location for “vibrant Main Street retail,” said Ken Caron, Lewis Retail Center’s senior vice president of commercial development, in a statement.
