Floor & Decor, a hard-surface flooring retailer, has leased a 1.1 million-square-foot warehouse-distribution facility in Moreno Valley.
The building, at 24101 Iris Ave. is the Atlanta-based company’s first operation in the Inland Empire, according to a statement posted Wednesday on the city’s website.
About 65 people are expected to work at the facility, which is part of the March Business Center. The company, which sells tile, wood stone and other floor accessories, is reportedly moving in now.
Moreno Valley’s development team – the city manager’s office, public works, community development and economic development – worked with the property’s owner, the Principal Financial Group in Des Moines, Iowa, to secure the agreement.
Terms of the lease were not announced.
Floor & Decor was founded in 2000. It operates stores in 17 states, including six in California, according to the statement.
