Riverside County is accepting applications for grants that will help small businesses survive the COVID-19 pandemic.
The $45 million program, which the board of supervisors recently approved, provides grants of up to $10,000 based on need, according to a statement.
Funding, which is coming from the U.S. government, is limited, and recipients will be chosen at random by a third-party, nonprofit entity.
“Riverside County is using federal funding to assist small businesses, and it is very important that small businesses located anywhere throughout Riverside County learn about this program and apply quickly,” said Fourth District Supervisor V. Manuel Perez in the statement. “These are grants that will provide greatly-needed help for small businesses.”
Grants are not available to businesses that have received other federal assistance such as the Small Business Administration Economic Injury Disaster Loan or the Paycheck Protection Program.
Applications must be submitted by June 19. For more detailed information including, eligible businesses, use of funds, required documentation and how to apply, visit https://rivcoccsd.org/covidbizhelp.
