The Riverside County Board of Supervisors has approved pay raises to several elected officials.
The plan was approved 3-2 Tuesday, with board members Jeff Stone and Kevin Jeffries casting the dissenting votes, according to a report in The Press-Enterprise.
Sheriff Stan Sniff, who currently earns $223,166 annually, will have his salary bumped to approximately $268,000; District Attorney Paul Zellerbach’s pay will go from $223,166 a year to roughly $247,000, while Auditor-Controller Paul Angulo, Treasurer-Tax Collector Don Kent and Assessor/County Clerk/Recorder Larry Ward will each see their annual pay go from $165,727 to about $191,000, the report stated.
Board members gave tentative approval to the pay hikes in August.
Zellerbach and Ward are scheduled to step down in January, according to the report.
