Riverside pushing high school football TV sponsorships

Businesses and non-profit organizations that want to reach the Riverside market are encouraged to buy sponsorships on television broadcasts of local high school football games this fall.

Games will be shown for the ninth consecutive year on RiversideTV in two formats:  live on social media and delayed on the city’s cable television channels, according to a statement on the city’s website.

The first broadcast is scheduled for Aug. 23.

Games will be streamed live on  www.YouTube.com/CityofRiverside– and www.Facebook.com/CityofRiverside. They are also shown after the game at 11 p.m. on RiversideTV’s cable channels: Channel 3 (Spectrum), Channel 21 (Verizon) and Channel 99 (AT&T).

Last year, the live broadcasts averaged 7,387 viewers per game. For the entire season, nearly 120,000 viewers tuned in.

RiversideTV’s cable channels reach an estimated 520,000 residents in Riverside, Norco, Jurupa Valley, and Eastvale. The latter three cities have access to Riverside’s social media pages and cable channel.
