Riverside state of the county scheduled

Riverside County will hold its annual state of the county event next month.

The gathering, which typically attracts hundreds of local officials from the public and private sectors, is scheduled to be held from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. December 8 at the Morongo Resort in Cabazon, according to county’s website.

Topics of discussion will include the regional economy, job growth, quality of life and the county’s tourism and hospitality industries.

“Riverside County is the fastest growing county in Southern California,” said Board Chairman Jeff Hewitt in the statement. “The State of the County event is a gathering to share our growth and outlook for all of our businesses, nonprofits and residents to see.”
Besides Hewitt, Supervisors Karen Spiegel and V. Manuel Perez are scheduled to speak, and Jeff Van Wagenen, the county’s executive officer, will be master of ceremonies.   Visit StateofRiversideCounty.eventbrite.com to register for tickets.
