Riverside to host COVID-19 clinic

Riverside is scheduled to open its first COVID-19 vaccination site Saturday.

As many as 500 vaccinations will be available from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the large parking lot north of the Riverside Convention Center, according to a statement on the city’s website.

The clinic plans to stay open on the same schedule Monday through Friday the following week, if the state continues to ship enough vaccine.

More vaccinations will be done if more vaccine is made available.

The Riverside Convention Center is at 3637 5th St.

Anyone interested may learn more about the vaccine and learn how to sign up for an appointment by visiting https://vaccine.riversideca.gov. The website includes a link to make an appointment.

No one will be vaccinated without an appointment, according to the statement.
