Rene Goldman has been named Riverside’s human resources director.
A Riverside employee since 2016, Goldman began her new position Sept. 28, according to a statement on the city’s website.
She has been the interim human resources director since Aug. 24. She replaced Stephanie Holloman, who took a job with the Orange County Fire Authority.
“I have the utmost confidence in Rene Goldman’s ability to lead our Human Resources Department,” City Manager Al Zelinka said in the statement. “Her knowledge, resourcefulness and work ethic have been very evident during her time with Riverside, especially during the past six months of the COVID-19 pandemic.”
Goldman’s first job with Riverside was principal human resources analyst. She has overseen employee relations, safety, and workers compensation, and was made deputy director of human relations in October 2017.
“The City of Riverside is a wonderful organization, and I am honored to take on a leadership role in the human resources department,” Goldman said in the statement. “I have a strong commitment to this community and value the public’s trust.”
