Noel Castillo has been named San Bernardino County’s public works director.
Formerly the county’s assistant public works director, Castillo replaces Brendon Biggs, who retired in December after 32 years on the job, according to a statement on the county’s website.
Castillo has more than 20 years experience in engineering and project leadership, including three years as city engineer/public works director in Montclair and 10 years as Fontana’s engineer manager.
As the the county’s assistant public works director, Castillo was in charge transportation planning, design, traffic, contracts-operations and the flood control district, according to statement.
