San Bernardino County’s Fleet Management Department received several awards at the recent Government Fleet Expo in Tennessee.
The awards, which were presented last month, are part of an open competition among 34,000 public entity fleets in the United States and Canada, according to a statement on the county’s website.
San Bernardino County’s Fleet Management ranked 20th among the top 50 fleets. It was also recognized for its clean air efforts and was named a Certified Fleet Management Operation by the Government Fleet Management Alliance, one of 22 such fleets certified nationwide.
The awards program is sponsored by Ford Motor Co. in conjunction with Government Fleet Magazine and the American Public Works Association, according to the statement.
