There’s more good news regarding the Inland housing market.
San Bernardino County was one of California’s the most affordable housing markets during the third quarter of this year, according to the California Association of Realtors’ Traditional Housing Affordability Index, which was released Friday.
Fifty seven percent of San Bernardino County residents could afford to buy a single-family, median-priced home during the third quarter.
That placed the county below Kings County [64 percent] and Madera County [58 percent], but above Tulare County [56 percent] and Merced [55 percent] in housing affordability, the study found.
Statewide, 30 percent of all home buyers could afford to buy a median-priced, single-family home last quarter, same as the second quarter but down two percent year–over-year, according to the data, which was released Friday.
Potential home buyers needed to earn at least $94,960 annually to qualify for a median-priced, single-family home in California during the third quarter, the index stated.
