A grand opening ceremony is scheduled to be held next month at the renovated San Bernardino County Board of Education Dorothy Inghram Learning Center.
The building, at 670 E. Carnegie Drive in San Bernardino, will host the board’s monthly meetings and be home to the county schools’ Regional Occupational Program, including classes and the program’s administrative offices, according to a statement.
East Valley Special Education Local Plan Area also has its administrative offices in the learning center.
Superintendent Ted Alejandre will host the grand opening. The event, which is scheduled to be held from 11 a.m to 12:30 p.m. Feb 4, is free and open to the public.
The learning center is named after Dorothy Inghram, San Bernardino County’s first African-American teacher and district superintendent, according to the statement.
