Esri in Redlands has published the second edition of Ocean Solutions, Earth Solutions, which looks at the science of protecting oceans and coastlines.
The book places special emphasis on the role Esri’s geographic information system technology plays in providing that protection, according to a statement released Wednesday.
Dawn J. Wright, the book’s editor and Esri’s oceanographer and chief scientist, has collected papers submitted at the Esri Ocean GIS Forum and collected them into a book for scientists. The books shows how GSI’s technology, along with other technology, are used in the study of ocean science and marine conservation, according to the statement.
