Southwest to add San Jose flights at PSP

Southwest Airlines is adding a nonstop flight from Palm Springs International Airport to San Jose.

The once-daily flights, scheduled to begin Nov. 6, will be the ninth nonstop flights operated by Southwest from Palm Springs International, according to a statement on the Palm Springs website.

Six of those routes, including San Jose, are year-round, and three are seasonal.

“We’re thrilled to see the continued investment in our community by Southwest,” said Palm Springs Mayor Lisa Middleton in the statement. “Since their arrival, we’ve seen our airport set new passenger records, add more and more nonstop options, and we now have more summer service than ever before.”

Southwest Airlines has been operating from Palm Springs International since November 2020. It is scheduled to launch a second daily round-trip flight to Las Vegas next month, according to the statement.

Seven thirty seven aircraft will be used on the San Jose flights. Arrival and departure times were not disclosed.
