John Ciraulo has been promoted to vice president of the meat division for Stater Bros. Markets.
Ciraulo has worked for the supermarket chain for nearly 30 years in both its retail and marketing divisions, according to a statement released today.
He replaces Kevin Schubert, who is scheduled to retire in March after nearly 40 years with the company, according to the statement.
“John is a well-respected and valuable member of our management team,” said Jack H. Brown, Stater Bros.’ chairman and chief executive officer in the statement. “This promotion is the result of his leadership skills and the contributions he has made towards the success of the company’s meat division.”
San Bernardino-based Stater Bros. is the largest privately owned supermarket chain in Southern California and the largest private employer in the Inland Empire, with annual sales of nearly $4 billion, according to the statement.
