Stater Bros. charities presented a $110,000 check Monday to St. Bernardine’s Medical Center in San Bernardino.
The money will be used to upgrade seven oncology patient recovery rooms and support the Metastatic Breast Cancer Navigation, Quality of Life and Social Support Program, according to a statement.
The check was presented at 10 a.m. in the Rezak Center, which is part of the medical center. The money was raised at Stater Bros. 2014 Believe Walk, which since 2008 has raised more than $2.5 million for cancer-fighting organizations.
Stater Bros. Charities is a non-profit entity that supports critical needs in the communities where Stater Bros. employees live and work, according to the statement.
