Stater Bros. re-ups effort to prevent running out of items

Stater Bros. Markets is beefing up its effort to prevent running out of items.

One year ago, the San Bernardino-based supermarket chain partnered with ReposiTrak in Utah, which helps food retailers improve their supply chain performance, according to a statement.

Now, having seen its out-of-stocks drop substantially, Stater Bros. is expanding its effort to include more direct-store deliveries, the area it signed up to improve originally.

“Stater Bros. is committed to offering the best customer experience possible, and that includes making sure every product is available, every time shoppers visit our stores or website,” said Dennis McIntyre, Stater Bros.’ executive vice president and chief marketing officer, in the statement. “With the results we’ve seen so far, we’re excited to expand the program to better serve our customers’ expectations.”

ReposiTrak, which is part of Park City Group, Inc., provides retailers, suppliers and public sector agencies with ways to reduce risk and comply with regulatory requirements, according to the statement.
