Scott C. Stiles has been named Palm Springs’ city manager.
Stiles, who has been Garden Grove’s city manager for the past seven years, is expected to begin work as the city’s top administrator on March 6, according to a statement on the Palm Springs website.
He replaces Justin Clifton, who stepped down in September. Stiles’ contract is scheduled to be discussed during Thursday’s city council meeting.
“We are excited to welcome Scott Stiles to Palm Spring,” said Mayor Grace Garner in the statement. “With decades of experience in city administration, he brings a wealth of expert knowledge and a desire to improve systems, mentor staff and collaborate with residents.”
Before working in Garden Grove, Stiles served as Cincinnati’s interim city manager from December 2013 through September 2014. Before that he was assistant city manager from February 2005 until his interim appointment, according to the statement.
