Doug Strosnider has been appointed Murrieta Fire & Rescue’s fire marshal.
Strosnider, who took over his new position March 10, has previously been the department’s deputy fire marshal and acting fire marshal, according to a statement on the city’s website.
“It is an honor to serve as Murrieta’s next fire marshal,” Strosnider said in the statement. “My fire service career started in 1991, and my passion and love for the job has not waned.
“I look forward to using my expertise to protect Murrieta.”
Strosnider began working for Murrieta in 2015 as a fire inspector. He has more than 36 years of experience in fire service, including deputy fire chief in Nampa, Idaho, according to the statement.
