Rep. Mark Takano, D-Riverside, recently toured one of Moreno Valley’s affordable housing developments.
Accompanied by the Moreno Valley City Council and Riverside County Supervisors Yxstian Gutierrez, Takano on July 5 inspected the Myers Park apartments, 24410 Myers Ave., according to a statement on the city’s website.
The tour was meant to show how federal, county, and city housing agencies can help create sustainable, affordable housing for working families.
Officials from the Mary Erickson Community Housing, the property’s owner, led the delegation.
“I was honored to join Congressman Takano and Mary Erickson Community Housing on a tour of Myers Park,” said Mayor Ulises Cabrera in the statement. “California’s housing crunch is becoming more critical each day, and Moreno Valley is stepping up to provide housing for residents of all income levels.”
