The seventh annual Route 66 Crusin’ Reunion in Ontario is scheduled to be held this weekend.
More than 1,000 classic cars – anything built between 1900 and 1988 – are expected to drive up and down Euclid Avenue from Holt Boulevard to I Street, according to the event’s sponsor, the Greater Ontario Convention & Visitors Bureau.
Both sides of Euclid Avenue are closed for a 22-square-block area, which last year attracted more than 150,000 people.
This year’s Crusin’ Reunion will be held from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. to midnight Saturday. Besides classic cars, the reunion includes rides, food, retail vendors and live music.
Foghat, the popular heavy-metal band from the 1970s, will top the bill at 9:30 p.m. Saturday at the Ontario Town Square.
The event is free, with no tickets required. For more information visit www.Route66CruisinReunion.com
