America’s Tires has opened its second Fontana store.
The independent retailer opened a shop on Sept. 20 at 17256 Slover Ave. across the street from Starbucks, according to a statement.
Number of employees was not available. Discount Tire’s other Fontana store is at 16065 Sierra Lakes Parkway.
The store is open 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. It is closed on Sunday.
The company, which started as a one-man operation in Ann Arbor, Mich. in 1960, sells several leading tire brands, including Michelin, Nitto, Goodyear, Bridgestone, BFGoodrich, Pirelli, Falken, Continental, and Cooper. Its wheel brands include Fuel, MB, Vision, American Outlaw, TSW, Liquid Metal, and Black Rhino.
America’s Tire, which does business as Discount Tire in most markets, operates more than 1,100 stores in 38 states, including 100-plus California locations, according to the statement.
