Rep. Norma Torres, D-Ontario, recently completed her annual tour of manufacturing businesses in her congressional district.
The “Made in the 35th” tour included stops at several industries, including metal fabrication, aerospace, cargo, and defense-oriented businesses in Fontana and Ontario, according to a statement.
“The 35th Congressional District is home to manufacturers that support everything from the military to the roofing on our homes,” Torres said in the statement. “My annual ‘Made in the 35th’ tour highlights our local businesses and provides me with an opportunity to hear directly from them about how we can grow the Inland Empire economy.”
A member of the House Appropriations Committee, Torres vowed to support funding “to help manufacturers find new markets.”
Nearly 37,000 people in the 35th congressional district work in manufacturing, according to the statement.
