Tune in to The Main Event this Saturday morning at 9:30 on AM590 with host Ed Hoffman as he discusses national current events and politics, as well as real estate and mortgage trends. Ed delivers intelligent radio with unique, witty and irreverent flair.
This week, Ed opens the show with more insight on the HERO program. If you have considered using the HERO program to pay for home improvements such as new windows or solar panels – or, you have been approached by contractors with an enticing sales pitch about the HERO program – Ed has critical information for you. Call him at Wholesale Capital Corporation to find out what you need to know.
Next, Ed picks up where he left off last week, re-capping the speeches at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC). Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker leads it off with a list of his accomplishments in his state – which, we can presume, would translate to federal policy if he were ever elected President. Ed warns those who have reservations about Walker to listen to what he has to say for themselves, rather than listening to media criticism about him. “This guy is a stud,” Ed says. “He talks about peace through strength, like Ronald Reagan. Compare that to Barack Obama.”
Next, Ed plays former Florida Governor Jeb Bush’s appearance, a Q&A with Sean Hannity. Addressing people’s concerns that Jeb Bush would be in the shadow of his father and brother, Ed says, “He’s his own man. He sure makes a lot of sense to me.” If you missed the Jeb Bush CPAC appearance or you just want to hear more analysis, tune in to this week’s show! You’ll hear Jeb’s immigration stance in a way you may not have heard it before. You might also be surprised by what Ed has to say to tea partiers who don’t think Jeb Bush is conservative enough for them.
In the second half, Ed addresses:
- Dr. Ben Carson’s talked-about comments about gay marriage on CNN. If you haven’t yet heard Dr. Carson’s full response to the criticism, tune in to hear Ed read it from beginning to end. You need to hear it, so you can make up your own mind away from the media chatter!
- Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s speech before Congress, which addressed the threat of Iran in an honest, direct way that must be refreshing to most thinking Americans. Ed has choice words for the 56 members of Congress who boycotted the speech, and a quick Constitution lesson for those who think the President can move forward with the Iranian nuclear agreement without two-thirds Senate approval.
- President Obama’s claim that he couldn’t make it to the Capitol that morning because of a prior commitment. Ed debunks the accuracy of this claim in a way you may not have heard before!
- The 150th anniversary of the passing of the 13th Amendment. Don’t miss Ed’s remarks.
- Hillary Clinton’s email debacle. Tune in this week to find out why Ed believes the former Secretary of State should not just be out of the running for the White House, but in jail.
