Tune in to The Main Event this Saturday Morning at 9:30 on AM590

Tune in to The Main Event this Saturday morning at 9:30 on AM590 with host Ed Hoffman as he discusses national current events and politics, with a few mortgage tips along the way. Ed delivers intelligent, entertaining radio that makes hard news easy to understand!

This week, Ed starts off by recapping Obama’s speech on closing Guantanamo Bay. For years, Obama has been trying to sell Americans on the idea that closing Gitmo is a matter of national security under the guise of terrorists using it as a “recruiting tool” – and this week, he tried to say that keeping Gitmo open costs us too much money. “As if he cares about spending money,” Ed says. “I hear the city of Indian Wells spent $600,000 in law enforcement to keep the streets clear when he was there…just because Obama decided to go out golfing.” Ed talks about the terrorists who remain at Guantanamo – people like Khalid Shaikh Mohammed, the mastermind of 9/11. “Are these people you want in federal prisons on our soil?” he says. “Can we just put Americans first?” If you haven’t yet heard Secretary of State John Kerry’s pathetic answer this week to a question about Gitmo terrorists turning back to terrorism, tune in to the show; you won’t believe what he said.

Next it’s on to Hillary Clinton’s outrageous pandering to Latino voters, in which she stoked their fears by saying the mortgage industry discriminates against Hispanic homebuyers. Because he’s one of the most experienced mortgage lenders in California, this one has Ed fired up. Listeners who are interested in real estate and mortgage definitely want to tune in this week, because Ed is sharing some major insight! And as for Hillary’s accusation that “You’re three times more likely to get a mortgage if you’re white,” Ed says, “That’s just BULL! Hillary Clinton is a lying piece of garbage for stirring this stuff up, because it’s absolutely not true. She’s just a blatant liar.” You don’t want to miss this.

In the second half, Ed’s talking about the GOP debate on Thursday – the final debate before 13 states cast their votes on Super Tuesday. On this week’s show, Ed’s observations on the debate include:

  • On Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz ganging up on Donald Trump: “I know Trump gets things done, and for him to be able to build buildings, run what he runs and do what he does, he has to have smart people around him and he’s definitely not dumb. Rubio and Cruz can’t say that.”
  • On Rubio’s mention of the Trump University program: “You got a series of books and tapes that told you how to invest in real estate and get rich. And guess what? Some people didn’t do anything with it. So then five or six people got together and sued him.” Ed is a successful real estate investor who has no sympathy for those who didn’t put their Trump University education into practice.
  • On Ben Carson sticking around: “Ben Carson’s in there, but he’s not fighting hard enough. I’m kind of disappointed that he’s not going to be our first ‘all the way’ black President.”
  • On the attacks regarding Trump’s tax audit: “Trust me…being audited is not an indication of fraud.”
  • To those who refuse to vote if Trump is the Republican nominee: “Some of you Republicans didn’t want to vote for Romney because he was Mormon, or too good looking, or not conservative enough for you – and we got four more years of Barack Obama.”
