Tune in to The Main Event this Saturday morning at 9:30 on AM590 with host Ed Hoffman as he discusses national current events and politics, with a few mortgage tips along the way. Ed delivers intelligent, entertaining radio that makes hard news easy to understand!
This week, the show is all about Hillary Clinton being exonerated of any charges in her mishandling of classified government emails. Even before FBI director James Comey held a press conference to announce that he recommended no criminal charges against Clinton for putting national security at risk while using a private email server while she was Secretary of State, the circumstances were already shrouded in suspicion. After Ed talks about his fun trip to Philadelphia and Scott tells an interesting gun control anecdote, they’ll recap the shady timeline of Hillary’s exoneration on this week’s show. Everything from:
- Attorney General Loretta Lynch’s 40-minute meeting with Bill Clinton on her airplane while it was parked in a Phoenix tarmac on Friday, supposedly to discuss “golf and grandchildren”
- Hillary and her team’s secret meeting with the FBI on the Saturday of 4th of July weekend
- James Comey’s press conference, held just as Hillary boarded Air Force One for her first joint campaign appearance with President Obama
Ed will also play Hillary’s claims over the past year regarding her email use paired with James Comey’s statements that prove she was lying (or as Scott says, “a filthy, lying little hobbit.”) Ed offers a solution to make sure that people who still want to support Hillary come to understand the reality of the situation: “What we need to make sure we do is talk about politics. We need to make sure we talk about this, because we’ve got four months left from today. We need to make sure people realize why they can’t vote for Hillary, so don’t be quiet when you’re talking to your family, don’t be quiet with people at work.”
In the second half, Ed and Scott will address whether the fix was in to exonerate Hillary and how high the collusion went. “I hope this gets everybody as riled up as we are,” Ed says. Regarding Obama’s strange compliment in North Carolina that Hillary is the “most qualified man or woman to ever run for this office, ever,” Ed says, “That kind of reminds me when Bill Clinton praised Obama at the Democratic National Convention in 2008, biting his tongue when he did it. Everyone knows the Clintons and Obamas don’t like each other.”
You’ll also hear some fun guesses as to who Trump’s running mate might be and other enlightening banter; don’t miss it! As the show closes, Ed will discuss the tragedies involving police this week and play a fitting tribute to our law enforcement.
