This week Ed underlines the importance of educating our children and shares his own experience with a younger male in his family. There are many myths circulating in the classroom that as parents and guardians we have a responsibility to rectify. One of those myths is that America is a conquering nation, but Ed steadfastly argues the contrary. Another topic discussed was about the rich and poor, and how there is only a subtle difference in their mode of thinking. Ed reminds us of the importance of keeping the conversation open, especially with the younger generation, in order to dispel myths and shed light on the truth.

Scott McAfee, owner of Don’s Bikes, returns to Ed’s show this week, and offers his unique insights in the arena of politics and current events, including the tragedy of Malaysian Airlines Flight 17 and the volatile situation in the Ukraine. Tune into hear their animated conversation.

Ed and Scott discuss how one is to maintain their focus in light of all the negative happenings around the world. One piece of advice given was to keep those lines of communication open with those who disagree with your views, tune in to hear why.

The conversation takes a turn to immigration, and Scott shared his experience of going through customs in Costa Rica, where security at the airport is very stringent, and compares it to the lax security at the borders here, and is baffled by the lack of effort to send the illegal immigrants back. Listen to their banter regarding the ease in which illegals are able to cross the border and to remain here illegally.

Ed shares with listeners an advertisement in the Pennysaver that anyone who houses an illegal immigrant under the age of 16 they are eligible for tax-free compensation. Tune in to hear their opinion about how this is supposed to “solve” our immigration problem.

Ed discusses how the government isn’t taking care of its people. With income earners paying 52 percent of their earning to the government, Ed demands that the government do something with that money that will benefit Americans’ quality of life, rather than the president and Michelle Obama squandering taxpayers’ money on a recent trip to Hollywood. They also discuss what needs to be done to preserve America.
