An active soldier is still detained in Mexico, U.S. Marine Sergeant Andrew Tahmooressi has been rotting in a Mexican prison since March 31 and yet there has been no move by the president to negotiate his safe return. Ed reminds listeners that Obama, in justifying his swap of five dangerous terrorists for one American deserter, proclaimed adamantly that no soldier will be left behind and he will not apologize for it. Does Tahmooressi not constitute as one who is left behind? Where’s Obama’s indignation now?
Obama made a visit to Texas this Tuesday, and justified not visiting the border because he’s not interested in a photo op. Ed points out Obama’s hypocrisy by playing a clip of Obama’s speech during his campaign that criticized Bush for flying over New Orleans following Hurricane Katrina rather than observing the devastation from the ground.
Ed sheds light on how Obama’s foreign policy has resulted in this massive influx of illegal immigrants from Central America, including the exorbitant amount of federal tax dollars funneled to Catholic and Baptist charities in Texas over the last few years for the purpose of caring for minors and teaching illegal adults how to pass the citizenship test.
On the real estate front Ed cautions renters and homeowners alike to beware of rental scams, as well as underscoring the fact that once you sell your home under a short sale, you can never purchase that same property again – it leads to a permanent paper trail that screams of fraud.
