Tune in to The Main Event this Saturday morning at 9:30 on AM590

Tune in to The Main Event this Saturday morning at 9:30 on AM590 with host Ed Hoffman as he discusses national, regional and local current events, as well as trends in the local real estate market. Ed delivers intelligent radio with unique, witty and irreverent flair.

To those who are adverse to Jeb Bush’s presidential run announcement this week, Ed cautions against equating him with his father or brother. “I think he’s a whole different kind of person than either one,” Ed says, “and he’s a much better communicator than George W. Bush.” While he doesn’t agree with the Common Core educational policy championed by Jeb Bush, Ed believes he would still be a superior President to the presumptive Democrat nominee, Hilary Clinton, as well as to the current President. “He wouldn’t sign ‘executive memorandums’ left and right, and he can communicate,” Ed says. “That’s what we need right now.” And while Jeb may not be tea party favorite, Ed believes tea partiers need to become more flexible by supporting candidates who can actually win.

Ed will also play audio from the biggest interview of the week, Megyn Kelly speaking to Dr. James Mitchell. Dr. Mitchell was the psychologist employed by the CIA to interrogate Khalid Sheik-Mohammed, the mastermind of 9/11. Dr. Mitchell has been reviled and had threats against his life in the past several weeks, and he had compelling words about the Senate “CIA torture” report, along with an admonishment for the liberal media who has portrayed him as a villain.

On the arrogant terrorist who orchestrated the death of 3,000 Americans on September 11, Mitchell said, “In fact, Khalid Sheikh Mohammed told me personally, ‘Your country will turn on you, the liberal media will turn on you, the people will grow tired of this, they will turn on you, and when they do, you are going to be abandoned.’” If you were on the fence about enhanced interrogation techniques, you need to tune in to The Main Event this week.

You’ll also hear Ed’s thoughts on:

The President’s “executive memorandum” on Cuba – shouldn’t we get back the cop killers and fugitives exiling there, before we normalize relations with that nation and start sending them bailouts in the form of trading with them and allowing our companies to set up shop there?
The Sony hacking and terrorist threats, and the President’s response – wasn’t it okay to blame a movie for a terrorist attack just a few years ago? Interesting how he has changed positions now that the terror is coming from North Korea, and not a Muslim nation.
With everything going on in the country, it’s still Christmas – so Ed opens the show sharing about the foster organization he partnered with to “be Santa Claus” for needy children this year. While you’re taking care of your last minute shopping, tune into this week’s show!
