UC Riverside’s graduating students will be allowed to bring two guests to this year’s graduation ceremony.
Commencement exercises will be “modified” this year, with some events scheduled to be held indoors and others outdoors, according to a statement on the university’s website.
This year’s commencement ceremony, the 67th in the school’s history, will be fully virtual and live streamed. Remarks by university, Academic Senate, alumni, and student leaders will be pre-recorded and last about 30 minutes.
During the ceremony, guests may accompany their graduating student on stage for a photo. About 7,000 students are eligible to graduate from UC Riverside this year, according to the statement.
