Arrowhead United Way has distributed $2.5 million in connection with the terrorist shooting Dec. 2 in San Bernardino.
The money, which was collected by the charity’s San Bernardino United Relief Fund, went to 73 victims who were identified as beneficiaries, including families of those who died, those who were injured and some who were inside the Inland Regional Center when the shooting happened, according to a statement released Tuesday.
All of the money collected by the relief fund in connection with the shooting, in which 14 people died and 22 were wounded, has now been distributed.
Shortly after the shooting, Arrowhead United Way established the relief fund and partnered with the San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors.
Since then, the relief fund has received major donations from The Albertsons Companies Foundation, the Vons Foundation, the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians, the Morongo Band of Mission Indians, Muslims United for San Bernardino, Hangar 24 Charities and MobileCause App users, according to the statement.
