The University of Redlands’ College of Arts and has some new leadership.
Professor Steven Wuhs has been named the department’s interim dean, and Professor Kathleen Feeley recently accepted the position of associate dean, according to a statement on the university’s website.
Both are scheduled to assume their new duties Jan. 1.
Wuhs follows Dean Kendrick Brown, who was named provost and vice president of academic affairs at Morehouse College in Atlanta. Feeley is succeeding Professor Anne Cavender, who will return to teaching and research in the English department in January.
A Redlands faculty member for more than 17 years, Wuhs is associate provost for internalization and a political science professor. He also leads the University’s Office of International Students and Scholars and has served as chair of the Department of Political Science.
Feeley, who came to the University of Redlands in 2004, is director of the school’s Proudian Interdisciplinary Honors Program and a professor of history. She has been a history department chair and a member of several advisory committees.
“Steve’s extensive faculty governance and administrative leadership combined with his teaching experience and work with students positions him well to serve in this role,” said University Provost Kathy Ogren in the statement. “Kathy’s demonstrated leadership of interdisciplinary work with students and collaborative work with faculty make her well-suited as associate dean.”
