University of Redlands to conduct diversity survey

The University of Redlands will use a national diversity and inclusion survey to assess its current campus.

The Diverse Learning Environments Survey, which was developed at UCLA, will be used to measure the campus climate for diversity, equity, and inclusion, according to a statement on the university’s website.

Three faculty members – Dean of the School of Education Mario Martinez, Senior Diversity and Inclusion Officer Christopher Jones, and Vice President for Advancement Tamara Josserand – have been working to review the options for a diversity and inclusion campus climate survey.

The faculty survey will begin this month, with the student and staff surveys scheduled to commence in December. A final report is expected next July, according to the statement.
