UofR Giving Day declared a success

The University of Redlands raised more than $350,000 on its recent Giving Day.

That money, raised by faculty, staff, students and friends of the university, will help support departments and programs throughout the school, according to a statement on the university’s website.

The fourth annual Giving Day was held April 7.

“It was exciting to be part of Giving Day and see the University community come together to support the many different areas of campus that mean the most to them,” said President Krista L. Newkirk in the statement.

Bulldog Athletics secured more than $190,000 from more than 850 donors, the most of any group. Thirty-five matches and challenges were collected this year, more than double what was collected in 2021.

Alpha Theta Phi secured 76 donations, the most of any fraternity, followed by Beta Lambda’s 65 donations, according to the statement.
